About The Role
Leading Aboriginal Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs strategy and providing advice and support to Local Health District (LHD) service providers regarding MHAOD directions and services for the Aboriginal community.
Coordinating, planning, implementing and evaluating culturally safe appropriate, evidence-based services to Aboriginal patients, families and communities.
Providing cultural leadership and advocacy working to establish and maintain key partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCO’s), consult with local Aboriginal communities and develop future Aboriginal MHAOD workforce.
