Wishbone is the newest concept from Lucas Collective, the group behind some of Australia’s most iconic restaurants, bringing the energy of Hong Kong’s street food culture and neighbourhood diners to Melbourne’s CBD.

Think bold flavours, quality ingredients, a buzzing atmosphere and genuinely great hospitality - all brought together in a fast-paced new dining experience with plenty of personality.

We’re building the Wishbone team now. Join us from day one and play a part in launching one of Melbourne’s most exciting new openings.

About The Opportunity:

We're looking for a passionate Pastry Sous Chef to join the opening team at Wishbone.

As part of our pastry team, you'll help bring the dessert offering to life at Wishbone, creating exceptional pastries, desserts and baked goods in a fast-paced, premium kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new venue and help shape the guest experience from day one.

The Ideal Candidate:

Demonstrated experience as a Pastry Sous Chef in a premium restaurant
Strong understanding of Hong Kong-inspired cuisine, with experience in traditional Cantonese techniques and modern interpretations highly regarded.
Effective management and communication of diverse team
Experience in managing and maintaining food safety program including documentation
Rostering and ordering experience
Monitor and supervise OH&S standards and procedure
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
Genuine interest in the day to day operations
Excellent attention to detail
Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
Calm and composed demeanour
Full availability, able and willing to work weekends, public holidays, opening and closing shifts
