Operations Manager

About the role:
ETS is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager / Operational Manager to support our vegetation management projects across Victoria, with work predominantly carried out within the Dandenong, Grantville, Bunyip and Gembrook area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing large-scale vegetation projects, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing vegetation maintenance and operational contracts involving heavy and specialised machinery such as mulchers, excavators, and other mechanical plant. Working closely with clients, field teams, and management you will play a key role in planning works, driving performance, and maintaining strong safety and operational standards across all projects

The following attributes are required to be successful in this role

• Proven experience managing large scale vegetation management or maintenance based projects

• Strong leadership skills with experience coordinating crews, subcontractors and field operations

• Sound knowledge of health, safety, environmental compliance, and Victorian regulatory frameworks

• Experience managing project budgets, cost control, scheduling, and operational reporting

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities

• Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Operations, or a related field highly regarded

Experience in the following tasks desirable:

• Managing vegetation maintenance and mechanical clearing projects involving specialised plant and equipment

• Overseeing project delivery to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and contractual requirements are achieved

• Planning and coordinating operational crews, subcontractors, schedules and resources

• Client and stakeholder liaison across operational and maintenance based contracts

• Preparation of operational reports, budgets, forecasts, and project documentation
