About the role
Experienced with tractors, earthmoving equipment or broad-acre machinery—and ready for more autonomy, variety and room to grow?
Weetawaa Group is a growing, family-owned agricultural business near Burren Junction in North West NSW, operating across broad-acre cropping, livestock, earthmoving and grain cartage. The property has reliable all weather access and is conveniently located near a well-regarded local school.
With a substantial laser-bucketing program ahead, the immediate focus will be accurate and efficient tractor operation. Beyond the season, the role offers varied work, increasing responsibility and the opportunity to build a future with our business.
About the role
This is a senior, trusted position for a capable operator who can think ahead, work independently and take ownership of the job.
Responsibilities include:
Operate agricultural and earthmoving machinery confidently
Planning your time and keeping work moving
Complete routine servicing, cleaning and minor repairs
Maintaining accurate machinery and work records
Assisting across cropping, livestock, earthmoving and general farm operations
Leaving the job—and the gear—in good order for the next person
Communicate clearly, own mistakes and support the team
Experience in laser bucketing, broad-acre farming or earthmoving will be highly regarded. An MC licence is desirable but not essential.
About you
You’ll have solid machinery experience and take pride in doing a job properly. You’ll be practical, safety-conscious and comfortable making decisions without constant direction.
You won’t need to know everything, but you will need the judgement to ask when unsure, the honesty to own mistakes and the willingness to support the team. You’ll look after the gear as though it were your own, and understand what it costs when you don’t.
What we offer:
Attractive remuneration based on experience and capability
Accommodation available, close to a well-regarded school with all-weather access
Varied work across a diversified agricultural business
Genuine autonomy, responsibility and room to make the role your own
Training, development and a clear pathway to greater responsibility
A long-term future with a family business that backs good people
We want someone who is ready to make the role their own and grow alongside the business.
If that sounds like you, contact Matt Holcombe for a confidential conversation.
