About the role
Camco Engineering’s Mining Site Services team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor for immediate start to support our continued growth across major WA mining operations.
Camco Engineering is a Perth-based mechanical engineering company providing high-quality manufacturing and maintenance services to the energy and resources sectors. We have built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and on-time delivery and work with Tier 1 clients including BHP, Rio Tinto, and FMG.
Position Summary
This role will be predominantly FIFO, with periods working from our Perth office outside of site work.
Depending on experience, a casual probation period may apply, including working hands-on as a Leading Hand, to become familiar with Camco equipment and site standards.
The primary focus of the role is fixed plant maintenance across shutdowns and maintenance campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Lead by example and promote a positive safety and team culture
Supervise and motivate work crews of 4–20 personnel
Deliver work scopes safely, on time, and to client and Camco HSEQ standards
Act as the on-site interface with client representatives
Maintain regular communication with Camco Project Manager
Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities
Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
Provide regular project progress and shutdown reporting
Work hands-on as a Leading Hand when required
Support job scoping, shutdown reports, and pre- and post-shutdown meetings when office-based
Position Requirements
Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker trade qualification
Strong commitment to health and safety
Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
Proven experience in fixed plant maintenance
Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
Strong communication and client management skills
Results-driven with a proactive attitude
Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
S26 (or willing to obtain)
Working at Heights, Confined Space, Fire Attack, White Card
Ability to complete a National Police Check
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Full Australian working rights
