Senior Contracts Administrator

CPB Contractors, together with fellow CIMIC Group companies, UGL and EIC, is proud to be driving the ground-up development of a multi-megawatt data centre in Truganina in the western suburbs of Melbourne. As the trusted delivery partners for Coravel, a global digital infrastructure platform, we will be frontiering mission critical facilities and infrastructure. Our expertise will seamlessly integrate complex systems across mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire, power and telecommunications among much more.

Our integration with Coravel, empowers this build to draw on the shared knowledge and aligned systems across an international network to bring global best practice to our region.

The 80 MW data centre will consist of two adjoining 40MW data centres featuring complex internally integrated electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, ICT and security systems. Construction will also involve extensive external inground services works, modular electrical equipment including HV / Fire protection facilities construction and civil finishing works .

Your opportunity

This is a complex, large-scale build where strong commercial discipline, attention to detail and the ability to build relationships will be critical to success. You'll be joining an experienced project team and taking ownership of the contract administration function from procurement through to final account.

You’ll play a key role in the commercial performance of the project. From subcontract procurement and contract management to variations, forecasting and risk, you'll work closely with project leaders and subcontractors to help keep the project on track.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead the administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts throughout the project lifecycleManage variations, progress claims, subcontractor payments and contractual correspondenceSupport procurement activities, including tender evaluations, subcontractor engagement and negotiationsMonitor project costs, budgets, forecasts and overall commercial performanceContribute to monthly reporting, cost reviews and financial forecastingIdentify and manage commercial risks, opportunities and contractual issuesBuild strong working relationships with project teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliersMentor and support junior members of the commercial team

What You'll Bring

Proven experience as a Senior Contracts Administrator on major construction, infrastructure or engineering projectsStrong knowledge of contract administration, procurement, variations and subcontract managementSound commercial acumen across budgeting, cost control, forecasting and reportingExperience identifying and managing contractual risk and commercial outcomesExposure to Tier 1 or other large-scale complex projects will be highly regardedStrong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skillsThe ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced project environmentA degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
