About the role
Condy Park Pre School and Kindergarten Association/Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team for Term 4, 2026 and Term 1, 2027. This part-time, relief teacher role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and education of young children in a nurturing and supportive environment.
What you'll be doing
Planning and implementing engaging and age-appropriate educational programs that foster the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of children
Providing a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that aligns with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline
Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to tailor teaching strategies
Collaborating with families and other professionals to support each child's individual needs
Participating in professional development activities to continuously improve teaching practices
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies
Term 4, 2026: Leading and guiding our Wednesday/Thursday/Friday, 5-hour day, 4-year old Kindergarten program. This part-time contract position involves 15 contact hours (Wednesday/Thursday/Friday) and 6 non-contact hours; 42 hours minimum per fortnight
Term 1, 2027: Leading and guiding our Monday/Tuesday, 7.5-hour day, 4-year-old Kindergarten program. This part-time contract position involves 15 contact hours (Monday/Tuesday), 6 non-contact hours and up to 5 hours ECT cover (Wednesday); 42 - 52 hours minimum per fortnight
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education
Eligibility for teacher registration in Queensland
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering engaging early childhood education programs
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Commitment to staying up to date with current best practices in early childhood education
Foundation and Advanced Child Safety Training
