About the role
Discovery at Play Early Learning Centres is seeking an experienced, passionate and motivated Centre Director to lead a beautiful 68-place early learning centre in Beeliar. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a beautiful new centre featuring three thoughtfully designed rooms and a stunning lakeside setting. As Centre Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service while providing strong leadership and support to your team. You will play a key role in building a positive centre culture, maintaining high standards of education and care, supporting enrolment growth and ensuring the service meets all regulatory and compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the centre
Recruit, mentor, support and develop a high-performing team
Maintain compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Law and National Regulations
Drive the centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement
Maintain a strong culture of child safety, wellbeing and professional accountability
Build positive and lasting relationships with children, families and the local community
Support high-quality educational programs and practices
Manage staffing, rostering, budgets and centre resources effectively
Monitor centre occupancy and support enrolment and marketing initiatives
Conduct staff performance reviews and identify professional development opportunities
About you
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Centre Director, Assistant Director or similar leadership role
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, NQS, National Law and National Regulations
A current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain/update as required
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Experience with staff recruitment, mentoring and performance management
Sound understanding of centre budgets, occupancy, staffing and operational performance
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
