Centre Director – Beeliar

About the role

Discovery at Play Early Learning Centres is seeking an experienced, passionate and motivated Centre Director to lead a beautiful 68-place early learning centre in Beeliar. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a beautiful new centre featuring three thoughtfully designed rooms and a stunning lakeside setting. As Centre Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the service while providing strong leadership and support to your team. You will play a key role in building a positive centre culture, maintaining high standards of education and care, supporting enrolment growth and ensuring the service meets all regulatory and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the centre

• Recruit, mentor, support and develop a high-performing team

• Maintain compliance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Law and National Regulations

• Drive the centre's Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and continuous improvement

• Maintain a strong culture of child safety, wellbeing and professional accountability

• Build positive and lasting relationships with children, families and the local community

• Support high-quality educational programs and practices

• Manage staffing, rostering, budgets and centre resources effectively

• Monitor centre occupancy and support enrolment and marketing initiatives

• Conduct staff performance reviews and identify professional development opportunities

About you

• A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a Centre Director, Assistant Director or similar leadership role

• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, NQS, National Law and National Regulations

• A current Working with Children Check

• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain/update as required

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

• Experience with staff recruitment, mentoring and performance management

• Sound understanding of centre budgets, occupancy, staffing and operational performance

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
