Verge Legal is an established law firm headquartered in the Melbourne CBD. We are a general practice that provides a range of legal services including in commercial law, property law, migration law, criminal law, and litigation/dispute resolution. Our firm caters to a multicultural base, specialising in providing legal services for the local Chinese community.    

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this full-time role, you will:

• Manage a diverse range of litigation matters.

• Be involved in disputes relating to civil and commercial disputes, commercial, property and leasing disputes, insolvency matters, etc.

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and other legal documents.

• Prepare for and attend court appearances and hearings.

• Brief counsel and liaise with clients to ensure clear communication and achieve their desired outcomes.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Admitted lawyer with a minimum 2-5+ years' experience in litigation with a strong track record of success.

• Bilingual with native or proficient level Chinese (Mandarin) language abilities.

• Ability to work efficiently and run matters independently.

• Experience in other areas of law such as criminal law, commercial transactions, property and leasing, family law, etc., will be highly regarded.
