About the role
Eastern States Engineering (ESE) is a growing Australian engineering and manufacturing company specialising in structural steel fabrication and industrial projects. We are committed to delivering high-quality solutions while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service.
We are looking for an organised and proactive Production Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring projects move efficiently from planning through to delivery.
About the RoleAs our Production Coordinator, you'll be the central link between Sales, Estimating, Drafting, Purchasing, Production, Quality and Logistics, ensuring projects are properly planned, documented and delivered on time.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong organisational, communication and coordination skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate production schedules and job priorities.
Maintain production documentation and controlled job files.
Raise and manage purchase orders for materials and subcontractors.
Coordinate suppliers and monitor material deliveries.
Track project progress and communicate production updates.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Support document control, quality records and production traceability.
Coordinate delivery schedules and dispatch documentation.
Assist with production planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a production coordination, manufacturing or operations administration role.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different departments.
Experience within steel fabrication, manufacturing or engineering.
Purchasing or procurement experience.
Exposure to production planning or scheduling.
Experience with document control or ERP systems.
Knowledge of SharePoint, OneDrive, AutoCAD or Tekla Structures.
Understanding of fabrication drawings or manufacturing processes.
