About the role
St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School is an independent day and boarding school for over 1500 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12. We provide girls with opportunities to pursue personal and academic excellence in a respectful and supportive environment.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Boarding House Senior Staff Supervisor to join our vibrant boarding community at Anne Symington House.
This fulltime, ongoing position plays a key leadership role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our boarding house, supporting the wellbeing, safety, and pastoral care of more than 180 boarders while providing guidance and support to boarding staff. Working closely with the Head of Boarding and broader boarding team, the Senior Staff Supervisor provides guidance and support to staff, oversees student supervision and routines, assists with boarding events and activities, and helps create a welcoming, nurturing environment where students feel safe, valued and supported.
This role is fulltime (term-time) commencing Term 4 2026 (12 October). The role involves working on a roster system which is confirmed at the beginning of each term.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Assist in the care and wellbeing for all boarders, upholding the family-like values of the boarding house
Support the aims and initiatives of the School and boarding house, implementing all house regulations and procedures to the highest standards
Ensure that all parent/guardian questions are dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner
Grow and develop good relationships with the girls and their families
Essential qualifications (to be gained upon successful placement):
Senior First Aid Certificate
Working with Children Check
National Police History Check
Previous experience in a boarding house setting or school environment will be well regarded, although not essential.
