Truck Driver/Stores Person

Macs Engineering and Opposite Lock is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of light vehicle tray bodies, roll over protection systems (ROPS), 4WD equipment and accessories, laser cutting operations and other specialist vehicle componentry in Mackay.

We currently have a position for a Truck Driver/Store Person to join our warehouse team.  An immediate start and competitive terms and conditions are offered.

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in Warehouse/Stores & MR Truck driving. You are someone who builds and maintains trust and respect by setting strong examples of behaviour and following through on commitments. Your past experiences have demonstrated your ability to make a true difference, accountability and reliability. You will need a current QLD Drivers Licence ( manual ), Medium Rigid Truck licence & current High Risk Forklift licence. Previous experience and knowledge of the vehicle accessories industry is desirable.

This is a split role, Store person based & MR Driver as/when required.

Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Commitment to Safety & Compliance.

• Monitoring stock levels

• Maintaining good working relations with team members

• Computer literacy/Minimal Excel spreadsheet

• Unloading & distributing stock

• Ensuring parts are accurate & organised for jobs

• Day-to-day operations, including, receiving, picking, packing and despatching goods

• Stock control activities, such as regular cycle counts, maintaining a high standard of accuracy with stock in the warehouses and stocktakes

• Process documentation, such as paperwork, delivery dockets & consignment notes

• Delivery & pick-ups from suppliers and customers

• Basic care & maintenance of Rigid truck & trailer

• Comply with relevant operational legislative & WHS requirements to operate truck/log book

• Problem solving abilities and attention to detail

• Indentifying and implement continuous improvement initiatives

• General housekeeping, ensuring a safe working environment

• Forklift operation

• Other duties required by management

We are seeking candidates that have a driven, self motivated personality. Excellent planning, organising and time management skills and problem solving ability. Have experience in stores activities.  Ability to work well in a small team environment.
