Within Platforms, the North Investment Operations team is responsible for the financial transactions of all North investment and superannuation products. As Process Lead – Investment Operations, you'll play a critical role in uplifting capability, strengthening controls and driving continuous improvement across key operational processes. 

How you’ll make an impact

As the Process Lead – Investment Operations, you'll operate as a senior specialist who strengthens North Investment Operations capability by working autonomously across processes and initiatives that improve operational performance, controls and customer outcomes. You'll apply deep investment operations expertise to improve existing methods, resolve complex issues and support consistent, controlled execution across the business. 

In this role, you will:

• Lead the design, documentation and continuous improvement of end-to-end Investment Operations processes across North investment and superannuation products. 
• Identify workflow, quality and exception trends and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls and reduce risk. 
• Develop and maintain operating procedures, process maps, control documentation and knowledge materials. 
• Provide subject matter expertise across projects, technology releases, operational change initiatives and UAT activities. 
• Act as a trusted escalation point for complex operational issues, undertaking root cause analysis and driving sustainable remediation. 
• Support improvements across trade lifecycle management, settlements, reconciliations, corporate actions and broader platform operations. 
• Assist with incident, issue and breach remediation activities and ensure sustainable controls are embedded into day-to-day operations. 
• Build strong relationships across Operations, Technology, Product, Production Support, custodians, brokers and distribution teams. 
• Coach and support analysts and operations team members to build technical capability, process discipline and operational excellence. 

What you will bring to the team

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Extensive Investment Operations experience within a Platform, Custody, Wealth Management or broader financial services environment. 
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle management, settlements, reconciliations, managed funds and corporate actions across domestic and international equities. 
• Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and implementing operational control enhancements. 
• Experience supporting platform transformation programs, process design, implementation activities and UAT testing. 
• A proven ability to work collaboratively with operational teams, technology teams, custodians, brokers, product teams and service providers to resolve complex issues. 
• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capability, with a passion for continuous improvement. 
• Experience supporting issues, incidents and breach remediation activities. 
• Advanced Excel capability, with SQL or data interrogation experience highly regarded. 
• Qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
