Slitter Machine Operator (Roll-Fed Labels)

About the opportunity: 

Join our team on-site in Somerton, Vic. We are looking to add 2 Slitter Machine Operators to our team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be an integral member of the Production team.  

Morning Shift (Monday-Thursday 5am-3pm) 20% shift loading applies for the early start.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Safe and controlled running of the Slitting machines. 

• Efficient set-up of the Slitter and preparation of the tooling, and other raw materials to maximise equipment efficiency. 

• Support the team implementing corrective measures and perform minor preventative maintenance to ensure continuous machine operation. 

• Interact well and maintain a positive relationship with all production functions. 

• You will contribute to all steps in our production process and practices including, Quality, Safety, Good Manufacturing practice (GMP) housekeeping and Environmental control measures.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Ideally, experience working in Labels/Print/Packaging manufacturing environment

• Experience running a Slitting machine will take you top of our list!

• Demonstrated planning and organisational skills. 

• Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups.

• Able to work autonomously and are self-motivated.

• To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus.
