About the role

Ashbridge Construction Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Commercial Formworkers to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant commercial construction projects across Perth, Western Australia. As a Commercial Formworker, you will play a crucial role in shaping the structural foundations of modern commercial buildings. Your expertise in formwork design, installation and removal will directly impact project timelines, safety standards and the overall quality of our construction deliverables. This position is based in Perth, WA 6000, and offers the chance to work on high-profile commercial developments whilst being part of a respected construction organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assembling, erecting and installing formwork systems for concrete structures on commercial building projects

• Reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings to ensure accurate formwork placement and alignment

• Measuring, cutting and fitting timber and steel formwork materials to specification

• Conducting pre-installation inspections to verify formwork integrity and safety compliance

• Operating formwork equipment and machinery in accordance with safety guidelines and best practices

• Collaborating with concreting teams to ensure formwork is properly positioned before concrete pours

• Dismantling and removing formwork after concrete has cured to schedule

• Maintaining accurate records of formwork installations and materials used

• Adhering to all workplace health and safety regulations, including wearing required personal protective equipment

• Supporting site supervisors and contributing to continuous improvement of formwork processes

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Commercial Formworker within the building trades industry, ideally with 3+ years in commercial construction environments

• Sound knowledge of formwork systems, materials and installation techniques specific to commercial applications

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and specifications accurately

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and formwork-specific equipment safely and effectively

• Current and valid Construction White Card or equivalent certification

• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles and a demonstrated commitment to safe working practices

• Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour, including working at heights and in challenging conditions

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse site teams

• A reliable work ethic with a proven track record of punctuality and professionalism

• Current driver's licence desirable for site mobility requirements
