Front-End Loader Operator – Sand Washing Plant

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Loader Operator to operate a loader feeding our sand washing plant and assist with stockpile management and general site operations.

The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a safe, consistent and efficient feed of raw material to the sand washing plant while maintaining organised stockpiles and a clean and safe work area.

• Safely operate a front-end loader to feed raw material into the sand washing plant.

• Maintain a consistent and controlled feed rate to maximise plant production.

• Monitor the quality and condition of feed material and report any changes to the plant operator or supervisor.

• Manage and maintain raw material and finished product stockpiles.

• Prevent contamination between different sand and aggregate products.

• Keep the plant feed area, stockpile areas and access ways clean and safe.

• Complete daily pre-start inspections and report equipment faults or maintenance issues.

• Work closely with the plant operator to coordinate feed rates and production requirements.

• Assist with general site duties and housekeeping as required.

• Follow all site safety, environmental and operational procedures.

• Maintain safe separation from other mobile equipment, fixed plant and personnel.

• Report hazards, incidents, equipment damage and environmental issues immediately.

• Operate the loader efficiently to minimise unnecessary fuel use, travel and material rehandling.

• Proven experience operating a front-end loader in a quarry, sand, aggregate or similar environment.

• Experience feeding processing or washing plants is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of mobile plant safety.

• Ability to maintain a consistent plant feed and manage stockpiles.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Current relevant tickets/licences and competency to operate a front-end loader.

The operator is expected to:

• Operate the loader safely and efficiently.

• Maintain organised and contamination-free stockpiles.

• Minimise production interruptions caused by inconsistent feeding.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
