Temporary Couture Machinist position

We have a temporary Position for a Sewing Machinist for Bridal Gown

One of our Machinists is on annual leave for 5-6 weeks starting at the begining of September 2026, and need to find someone to help with the numer of dresses needed to be finished in September.

We need someone exeprienced, as this is a short term position, we wouldn't have time to train anyone.

So they must have at least 5 years experience. we would consider a peron only able to work 4 days a week, but would prefer 5 days a week.

Ideal for someone who just needs extra money, maybe someone retired, or coming off maternity leave.

We are located in Chippendale less than 500 meters from Redfern train station, All sewing machines are new and well maintained, and the other staff are friendly and helpful.

We are prepared to pay a very good wage to the right applicant, and would expect a 4-6 hour trial to make sure of the fit and capabilities of the applicant
