Richard Jay has been delivering commercial and industrial laundry solutions across Australia for more than 57 years, partnering with hospitals, aged care providers, hotels, mining companies, commercial laundries, government departments and major national organisations. In recent years we have added chemicals and dispensing and warewashing, making us the industry leader Nationally in the equipment, services and chemistry verticals.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for an ambitious Sales Executive to join our Queensland team, managing and growing a territory of commercial and industrial accounts.

We've found that people who succeed fastest in this role often come from technical, capital-equipment sales backgrounds - print and imaging equipment is a strong example. If you've sold complex equipment solutions into businesses and know how to run a consultative, relationship-led B2B sales process, we want to talk to you. Laundry industry experience isn't required.

About the role

This is a consultative sales role where you'll develop new business while managing and growing an established customer base across Queensland. You'll become trusted advisor to customers, helping them improve productivity, efficiency and operational performance through better laundry equipment and solutions.

Your responsibilities will include

• Identifying and developing new business opportunities
• Managing an established customer portfolio
• Conducting customer meetings and site visits
• Preparing quotations, proposals and equipment recommendations
• Managing sales opportunities from enquiry through to installation
• Working closely with our Project, Service and Technical teams
• Building long-term customer relationships
• Achieving agreed sales targets and KPIs
• Maintaining an active sales pipeline in our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

About you

You're a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys meeting people, solving problems and winning business. You'll ideally have:

• Proven success selling technical or capital equipment in a B2B environment - backgrounds in printing and imaging equipment, commercial kitchen equipment, packaging machinery, industrial cleaning equipment or office/copier technology are especially well suited
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience managing your own sales territory
• A proactive, organised and results-driven approach
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and CRM software
• A current Australian driver's licence

Industry experience in commercial laundry equipment is not essential. If you've been successful selling technical or capital equipment solutions to businesses, we'll provide the product training and support to help you succeed.
