We’re looking for an enthusiastic and service-focused Customer Service Officer to join our Sydney CBD team.

About the Role

Based in our Sydney CBD office, this role provides customer service and support to our diverse range of customers. This position will support our customers in face-to-face settings, via phone and through email correspondence.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our customers. You’ll work across customer service, sales support, order processing and refining administration.

No two days are exactly the same, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the fascinating precious metals and jewellery industry.

What a typical day looks like

You might start the morning responding to customer enquiries, reconciliating payments and processing orders, before preparing and dispatching customer orders.

During the day, you may also receive refining jobs, enter results, update customer accounts and keep customers informed of their orders or refining progress.

You’ll regularly deal directly with customers by phone, email and at the counter, while working closely with the team to make sure orders and refining jobs are processed accurately and on time.

There is also plenty of opportunity to learn about precious metals and jewellery manufacturing and refining as you become more familiar with the business.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person

• Processing customer orders and sales

• Preparing, packing and invoicing customer orders

• Receiving and processing refining jobs

• Entering refining results and returning customer proceeds

• Maintaining accurate customer and account records

• Keeping customers updated throughout the process

• Supporting sales activities and customer meetings when required

• Assisting with general administration and daily operations

• Building strong relationships with existing and potential customers

About You

You’ll be someone who:

• Previous experience in a customer service, administration or sales support role

• A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer experiences

• Proactive, enthusiastic and inquisitive attitude to learning new skills and tasks

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling numbers and valuable products

• The ability to multitask and remain organised in a fast-paced environment

• Confidence in working independently and as part of a team

• Solid computer skills (MS Office)

• A professional, reliable and accountable work ethic

Experience in jewellery, precious metals, manufacturing or a similar industry is an advantage, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
