701 Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Advanced Scaffolder for a Leading Hand position with one of our established clients.

This is a hands-on role working across a range of commercial, industrial and maintenance projects throughout South-East Queensland. The majority of the work involves aluminium scaffolding, including more complex structures.

About the Role

• Lead and work alongside a team of scaffolders
• Erect, alter and dismantle scaffolding
• Work from plans, drawings and site requirements
• Inspect scaffolding and identify safety issues or defects
• Install guardrails, toe boards and other safety equipment
• Communicate with site supervisors, engineers and other trades
• Use power tools and scaffolding equipment
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to the required standards
• Help train and support junior scaffolders

What We're Looking For

• Advanced Scaffolder qualification/licence
• Minimum 5 years' scaffolding experience
• Previous Leading Hand or crew-leading experience
• Experience with complex or high-risk scaffolding
• Ability to read and understand scaffolding plans and drawings
• Valid driver's licence
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail
• Comfortable working at heights and outdoors
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Commercial, industrial or structural scaffolding experience highly regarded
• Confined Space ticket highly desirable

Other Requirements

Some projects are within the wastewater industry, so you must be willing to obtain the Hepatitis A & B vaccination if required.
