With an outstanding safety culture, modern fleet, and commitment to investing in our people, we're looking for an experienced Yard Crane Operator / Yard All-Rounder to join our busy yard team based in Dandenong.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for safely operating cranes and mobile plant while supporting the efficient movement, maintenance and preparation of piling equipment and materials.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Yard Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring equipment and materials are safely loaded, unloaded, maintained and ready for project mobilisation.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is willing to assist wherever required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate cranes and other mobile plant within the yard.

• Load and unload piling equipment, steel, casings and construction materials.

• Conduct lifting operations in accordance with approved lifting plans.

• Rigging and dogging duties.

• Operate forklifts and other mobile plant as required.

• Assist with loading and unloading transport vehicles.

• Carry out daily pre-starts and inspections on cranes and equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe yard environment.

• Assist workshop personnel with equipment preparation and maintenance.

• Complete all required documentation accurately.

• Work collaboratively with the workshop, transport and project teams.

• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and quality standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Requirements

• Current High Risk Work Licence – C1 (Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane up to 100 tonnes).

• Current Dogging Licence (DG).

• Current Forklift Licence (LF).

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating cranes.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with general yard and workshop duties.

• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.

Desirable

• Basic or Intermediate Rigging Licence.

• Franna or other mobile plant operating experience.

• HR Driver's Licence.

• Experience within the piling or civil construction.

• Working at Heights certification.

• Basic mechanical maintenance experience.
