About the role:

• Manage a varied caseload of litigation and occupational disease and casualty claims
• Work across asbestos-related disease, mesothelioma, occupational cancers, respiratory disease, noise-induced hearing loss, stress and harassment claims
• Handle Employers’ Liability and Public Liability matters, together with complex and emerging risk litigation
• Assess liability, causation and quantum, draft pleadings and legal advice, prepare witness evidence and instruct counsel and experts
• Negotiate settlements, participate in mediations and build strong relationships with key insurers and corporate clients

The ideal candidate:

• Senior Associate with experience in defendant or plaintiff personal injury, insurance or casualty litigation
• A background in disease litigation or public liability claims will be highly regarded
• Strong technical, analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to confidently manage litigated matters
• Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a busy litigation practice
• Genuine interest in developing specialist expertise within occupational disease and complex causality litigation
