Barista - allrounder

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Barista allrounder (immediate start) to work a minimum of Monday and Tuesday each week (8 hours each day) - to join our vibrant team at the Hand of Fatima Cafe' in Peregian Beach, QLD. We are looking for a self-motivated person to be part of a passionate hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for set up and pack down on those two days, serving customers, preparing high-quality coffee, and assisting with various cafe duties.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea to consistently high standards

2. Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all customers

3. Assisting with cafe operations, such as restocking, cleaning, and food preparation as required

4. Maintaining a clean and organised work environment

5. Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience as a barista or in a similar cafe or hospitality role

2. Strong knowledge of coffee equipment and techniques, with the ability to prepare high-quality espresso-based drinks

3. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanour

4. Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work culture

5. Flexibility to work if required to work weekends and public holidays
