Estimator – Commercial Construction

Stokes Rousseau is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Melbourne team, leading tenders across commercial, heritage and refurbishment projects.

This permanent full-time role offers the opportunity to manage complex tenders, contribute to major projects, and support the growth of a dynamic construction business. Working closely with the Estimating Manager and project teams, you will lead estimating and cost planning activities while helping improve systems, processes and business performance.

Founded in 2006, Stokes Rousseau delivers commercial construction, refurbishment and heritage restoration projects across Victoria. With more than 200 projects completed, we work across education, health, aged care, defence, justice, commercial, industrial and community sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing EOI, RFT and tender submissions.

• Preparing estimates, budgets and pricing.

• Reviewing tender documentation and assessing risks.

• Leading quantity take-offs and subcontractor pricing.

• Developing tender strategies and submission content.

• Conducting cost analysis, risk assessments and value engineering.

• Monitoring project costs, variations and claims.

• Maintaining estimating systems and cost databases.

• Representing the business during site inspections and procurement activities.

• Supporting continuous improvement and mentoring team members.
