Bendigo Mitsubishi, MG, Hyundai & Renault is looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused Receptionist / Customer Service team member to join our busy Service Department.

As one of the first people our customers meet when they arrive or call the dealership, you'll play an important role in making sure every customer feels welcomed, valued and well looked after.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in providing great service and has the initiative to get things done.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position.

About the role

This is much more than simply answering phones.

You'll be an important part of our front-of-house Service team, helping customers throughout their visit and supporting our Service Advisors in keeping a busy department running smoothly.

Your day may include:

• Welcoming customers to the dealership with a friendly and professional approach

• Making sure customers are attended to promptly when they arrive

• Handling a high volume of incoming phone calls

• Assisting with customer enquiries and directing them to the right person

• Communicating clearly and professionally with customers

• Supporting our Service Advisors with day-to-day customer service and administration

• Processing customer payments and using computer-based dealership systems

• Helping coordinate customer requirements within the Service Department

• Building rapport with both new and long-term customers

• Keeping our reception and customer lounge areas clean, tidy and welcoming

• Helping the wider team wherever needed during busy periods

• Willingness to do overtime, if required

Every day is a little different, and you'll be an important part of creating a positive experience for our customers from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.

Who we're looking for

You don't necessarily need automotive or dealership experience.

We're more interested in finding someone with the right personality, attitude and customer service skills.

You'll ideally have:

• A warm, friendly and approachable personality

• A genuine passion for providing excellent customer service

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional presentation

• Confidence communicating with customers both face-to-face and over the phone

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise

• The ability to remain friendly, organised and professional during busy periods

• Good computer skills and confidence learning new systems

• Strong attention to detail

• A reliable, punctual and can-do attitude

• Initiative and the ability to work independently when required

• The ability to work well as part of a busy team

• Good judgement and the ability to adapt when priorities change

• A genuine desire to build positive relationships with our customers

Experience in reception, hospitality, retail, administration, customer service or another people-focused role would be highly regarded.

Basic automotive or mechanical knowledge would be helpful, but isn't essential.
