ASBESTOS REMOVAL WORKERS WANTED – ENTRY-LEVEL & EXPERIENCED

About the role

This role primarily involves the removal of non-friable asbestos-containing materials, including fibro cement sheeting and external building cladding from Residential and Commercial demolition projects. We have ongoing work available five days per week. This is an opportunity to develop a long-term career with an established demolition and asbestos-removal company.

Key responsibilities

• Removing fibro cement sheeting and cladding

• Setting up asbestos-removal work areas

• Using appropriate PPE and respiratory protection

• Following asbestos-removal control plans and safe work procedures

• Decontaminating work areas, tools and equipment

• Wrapping, labelling and preparing asbestos waste for disposal

• General demolition and labouring duties

• Supervising workers and running projects for leading-hand applicants

About you

• A valid White Card

• Unrestricted Australian working rights

• A current Australian driver's licence

• Reliable transport

• A current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain one

• The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical

• The physical fitness required to undertake manual work

• A willingness to follow strict safety procedures

• Reliability and a strong work ethic

• An existing Class B asbestos-removal licence is highly regarded but is not essential
