About the Role

Foodbank SA & NT is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist to join our engaged, friendly and committed team. You will be the welcoming first point of contact for clients, members, visitors and other external stakeholders contacting Foodbank SA & NT by phone, email or in person.

This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, keeping things organised and supporting a busy office environment. In this role, you will:

• Respond to phone, email and in-person enquiries, assisting where possible and directing matters to the appropriate team member

• Welcome visitors, external stakeholders and members of the public in a professional, helpful and friendly manner

• Collate and edit the weekly member newsletter

• Receive and manage financial and food donations

• Provide general office administration support

• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the office, including coordinating housekeeping and general maintenance.

Foodbank SA & NT is South Australia and Northern Territories largest food relief organisation. We are a not-for-profit and non-denominational community-based organisation established in SA in 2000.

Our vision is to end hunger in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Our mission is to get the most good food, to the most people, in the most efficient way possible.

Foodbank SA & NT has 13 Food Hubs and 7 warehouses and provides food relief to over 150,000 people every month. One third of these are children. In the last 12 months, we have sourced enough food to put more than 12 million meals on the table of those doing it tough in our community.

About You

You are an approachable, capable and highly organised professional with previous experience in a reception, administration or customer service role. You communicate clearly, enjoy helping others and can confidently engage with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

You will bring strong time management skills, attention to detail and a positive, team-focused approach. Most importantly, you will share our commitment to Foodbank SA & NT’s mission, community service and the not-for-profit sector.

A current National Police Clearance and First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain them, are essential.
