Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dedicated Staff Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!
The primary purpose of the role of Staff Specialist in Diagnostic Radiology is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Diagnostic Radiology, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Radiology Department and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
In addition to participating in provision of Diagnostic Radiology, the Staff Specialist may be involved in subspecialty Radiology (depending on training and experience) in areas such as abdomen, cardiac, neurological, musculoskeletal, breast and/or Tier A interventional Radiology.
The successful applicant will be a current registered Medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) with recognised qualifications in Radiology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
Positions are will be available from November 2026. The Department is seeking radiologists with subspecialty interest with priority in breast imaging, MSK imaging, neuroimaging and/or other subspecialties.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
