About the role
An exciting opportunity to join the Australian Volunteers Program as the Safeguarding Prevention and Response Lead! If you have safeguarding expertise, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach, join us in a role that delivers meaningful impact across a global program.
AVI supports the implementation of the Australian Volunteers Program on behalf of the Australian Government. The Australian Volunteers Program enables skilled Australian volunteers to support partner organisations in 26 countries across the Pacific, Asia and Africa to progress their development objectives.
The Safeguarding Prevention and Response Lead plays a critical role in fostering a safe and respectful environment across the Australian Volunteers Program. Acting as the primary point of contact for safeguarding matters, including child protection and Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), this role provides trusted advice, guidance, and support to colleagues and stakeholders across program countries. This role will lead incident prevention, response and management including DFAT reporting obligations.
