Residential Support Worker - SIL homes

Phoenix Place is hiring for our Supported Independent living homes in the Mackay region. 

You will be Assisting participants with personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming.

Providing support for daily living activities including meal preparation, housekeeping, and running errands.

Engaging participants in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote their wellbeing.

Must be willing to undertake manual handling tasks and have experience supporting Participants with complex behaviours.

Documenting participant progress and ensuring detailed records are maintained.

Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised support plans.

Responsible for supporting participants in a 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) setting within NDIS Practice Standards, with the role requiring you to be available across a variety of shifts, including working during the day, in the evenings, sleepovers, on weekends and on public holidays.

These are casual positions with the right applicants able to transition to permanent part-time (PPT) within 6 months of employment.

Essential Criteria 

• Either a Cert III in Individual Support, Disability or Enrolled / Registered Nurses

• Able to pass all relevant NDIS Clearances 

• Willingness to undertake on further training and qualifications facilitated by Phoenix Place

• At least 6 months experience as a Residential Support Worker (SIL)

• Experience in supporting participants with behavior of concerns and/or complex medical needs

• First Aid with CPR

• Good written and spoken English

• Driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• MUST be able to work a 24/7 roster including 6am starts, and sleepover shifts
