About the role
Brunswick Private Hospital has been transformed into a state of the art rehabilitation, general medical and mental health facility with extensive Day Rehabilitation and community based services. Conveniently located in Melbourne’s inner-city suburb of Brunswick, our team of professionals are committed to providing comprehensive medical, rehabilitation and mental health services that are designed to restore independence following surgery, illness or injury.
An opportunity exists for a suitable dynamic individual to join the Allied Health Department as a part time medical receptionist in our Day Rehabilitation/Outpatient area. We are looking for someone 1-2 days per week with the ability to flex up in times of high activity and to cover annual leave. Opportunities across other areas of the hospital may be available for consideration.
We are seeking someone with experience in a medical facility or Allied Health clinic and great customer service skills, someone who is highly organised and has the ability to multi-task in an extremely busy environment. The Allied Health team are positive, supportive and make for a great workplace environment to be in.
The role:
· Provide high level of customer service
· Health Fund Checks
· Booking multiple clinic appointments for patients
· Medical reception duties
· Admitting and discharging day patients
· Filing and retrieving medical records
· HICAPS, EFTPOS receipting
Selection Criteria
Essential:
· Experience in a medical facility (hospital or medical clinic)
· Experience with Health Fund checks
· Great Interpersonal skills
· Ability to multi task in a busy environment
· Excellent communication skills and business behaviour ethics
· Demonstrated organisational skills
We are looking for someone who has the following:
· Outstanding customer service skills
· Excellent administration skills
· Experience in a medical facility
· Empathise with patients
· Great computer skills
Applicants must hold a National Police Check and Working with Children’s Check and full working rights in Australia.
