Disability Support Worker

Wholesome Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking motivated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team in a Casual role. We are a fast-growing company with support services offered throughout the Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Greater Brisbane Regions and a capacity-building Centre located in Caboolture. This role involves providing personalised care and assistance to individuals with disabilities to help them live independently and participate actively in their communities. We are seeking Support Workers experienced in Complex cares of participants.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting with our Day Programs at our Capacity Building Centre, as well as a variety of shifts including Supported Independent Living (SIL) home support, in-home support, and community-based shifts.

• Assisting clients with daily living activities such as Personal Care, meals preparation, and household tasks.

• Facilitating and participating in recreational, social, and educational activities to promote client wellbeing.

• Advocating for client's rights and ensuring they received the support and services they need.

• Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records.

• Collaborating with family members, healthcare professional, and other support services to deliver coordinated care.

• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

What we're looking for

• Capacity for overnight / sleepover shifts on a weekly basis is Required

• Experience/skillset in Complex cares

• Experience and skills with supporting Capacity Building -Day Programs

• A Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field is advantageous

• Previous Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting is highly regarded

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with disabilities to achieve their goals

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Availability on a recurring basis to take on set shifts each week - varying hours available to suit each support worker individual capacity and needs

• A current driver's licence and reliable transportation

• A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check (Yellow Card & Blue Card)
