Mitchell Services (MSV) is growing across our Surface and Underground Divisions and we’re looking for motivated, safety-focused candidates ready to take the next step into a Trainee Underground Diamond Driller role with the look to move to a driller 1 level quickly.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced Underground or Surface Diamond Drillers, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience while supporting safe and productive drilling operations.

This is a development role designed to help you progress your career within drilling.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist drillers during underground or surface drilling operations
• Conduct pre-start checks and maintain equipment standards
• Help minimise tooling damage and down-hole loss
• Accurately assist with core handling, markup and orientation
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and maintenance issues
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and teamwork

What We’re Looking For

• Previous drilling, mining or offsider experience
• HR Licence (surface applicants) or Manual Open Driver’s Licence (underground applicants)
• Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and National Police Clearance
• Physically fit with the ability to pass a functional assessment
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to learn
