Sales assistant

Berwick Village Jewellers is looking for a friendly and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our family owned team in our Berwick, VIC store. This is a casual position, offering flexible working hours. Availability to work Fridays and Saturdays is essential.

• Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with product selection

• Maintaining a neat and tidy store presentation

• Processing sales transactions, including cash handling and operating the point-of-sale system

• Restocking and replenishing merchandise as needed, including ticketing and display upkeep

• Maintaining and updating the customer database accurately

• Reporting to and supporting the Store Manager with general duties as required

• Working closely with our marketing department, including assisting with social media and taking photos for content

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role (jewellery experience is an advantage)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

• Trustworthiness, enthusiasm, dedication, and a positive attitude

• Confidence using computers and digital systems (POS, basic apps, and social media platforms)

• Experience working with customer databases is essential

• Marketing or social media experience is highly regarded

• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, with Fridays and Saturdays being essential
