Platemaker - Flexo/Litho Printing

About the opportunity: 

We are now looking for a Platemaker to join our team in Somerton Victoria.

Reporting to the Pre-press Manager, you will be an integral member of the Pre-production team, responsible for preparing printing plates to meet print room needs. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Accurately produce plates to meet the requirements of the print room and production schedules

• Review and interpret print job bags to produce plates 

• Ensure quality of the plates are too standard and require no re-work or create production errors or delays 

• Managing plate storage and filing 

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Ideally, platemaking experience with Esko CDI’s and DFS software and/or Agfa Apogee (system and knowledge preferred but not essential) 

• Experience in label production and Esko skills is advantageous  

• Able to work autonomously

• To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus
