Underwriting Assistant

The OpportunityWe’re looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our Underwriting team — someone organised, proactive and keen to build a career in insurance.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll support our underwriting team and help keep things running smoothly. You’ll be exposed to how underwriting works in practice, learning from experienced professionals while contributing to the smooth running of a fast-paced, collaborative team.

What You’ll Be DoingSupporting the underwriting team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasksManaging shared inboxes and responding to broker requests in a timely, professional mannerPreparing Certificates of Currency and processing policy endorsementsAssisting with data entry, documentation and maintaining accurate recordsWorking closely with underwriters to keep workflows moving efficientlyBuilding your understanding of underwriting processes, risk assessment and decision-makingOver time, taking on more responsibility — including supporting quotes and renewals
