Support Worker

About the role

Seeking compassionate and dedicated support workers to join our team at VitalCore Support Services in Deception Bay, Brisbane Queensland. This is a casual role supporting adults with disabilities and the elderly in our local community. You will play a vital part in helping our clients live independently and improve their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist with personal care, including showering, grooming, and dressing

2. Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry

3. Provide social and emotional support, engaging clients in activities and outings

4. Advocate for clients and liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders

5. Maintain accurate client records and documentation

6. Adhere to workplace policies, procedures, and quality standards

What we're looking for

1. Relevant qualifications in aged care, disability support, or a related field

2. Certificate III in aged care, disability support, or a related field is optimal

3. Previous experience working with the elderly or people with disabilities

4. Minimum of 6 months' experience working with the elderly or people with disabilities is optimal

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

6. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a difference in people's lives

7. Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team

8. A current driver's licence and access to reliable transport

9. Current First Aid certification is required at commencement

Candidates must have valid Australian work authorisation to be eligible for this position.
