About the Role

The Front of House & Customer Experience Team Member is responsible for creating an exceptional first impression and providing outstanding customer service across all front-of-house interactions at Hoop City.

The role requires an energetic, proactive and customer-focused individual who can confidently work in a fast-paced sporting environment and manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of service.

We are looking for Casual staff who love people, sport and creating great experiences. You will be one of the first faces customers see when they walk through the doors, so your energy, professionalism and ability to make people feel welcome will be a big part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for athletes, families, members and visitors.

• Manage front-of-house operations including reception, check-ins, enquiries, bookings, POS and customer administration.

• Support membership sales, renewals, lead follow-ups, onboarding and member retention.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and day-to-day facility operations.

• Safely operate and monitor recovery facilities, including the sauna, ice baths and hot plunge.

• Prepare and serve coffee and other approved drinks, and operate the Hoop City canteen during allocated shifts.

• Assist with programs, camps, competitions, birthday parties, games and other events.

• Support coaches and the Venue Manager with the smooth operation of daily programs and venue activities.

• Follow all health, safety and child safety procedures, and promptly report incidents, hazards, maintenance or facility issues.

• Represent the Hoop City brand professionally and contribute to a positive, energetic and inclusive basketball community.

Requirements

• Previous customer service or sales experience (preferred)

• Working With Children Check (VIC) – mandatory

• First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)

• Availability to work flexible hours

Availability

• Must be available weekends

• Shifts will generally fall between 8:00am – 6:00pm

• Flexibility to work evenings (up to 10:00pm) during games and events
