With continued growth and recent expansion at our Edinburgh site, we’re strengthening our Operations team and looking for an experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team.

About the role

As an Afternoon Shift Supervisor at MASTEC', you will play a critical role in overseeing and coordinating the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. Working on a full-time basis, you will be responsible for ensuring the afternoon shift runs efficiently and safely, while also providing guidance and support to your team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor to make a real impact within a dynamic and growing organisation.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of the afternoon shift team to ensure all production targets and quality standards are met

2. Monitoring workflow, productivity and safety, and implementing corrective actions as needed

3. Providing hands-on leadership, support and mentoring to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

4. Liaising with other shift supervisors, managers and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across the business

5. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and making recommendations to drive operational efficiencies

6. Ensuring all relevant policies, procedures and health and safety guidelines are followed

7. Maintaining accurate records and reporting on team performance and other key metrics

What we're looking for

1. Substantial experience as a Shift Supervisor or Team Leader in a manufacturing or logistics environment

2. Strong operational and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels

4. Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety

5. Proficient in using relevant software and systems to monitor and report on team performance

6. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
