Recruitment Officer – Queensland (Part-Time)

About Us

Viking Rentals is a growing portable toilet hire business. As our operations continue to expand, we're looking for someone to take ownership of finding great people to join our team.

The Role

We're looking for a part-time Recruitment Officer to manage our in-house recruitment sourcing, screening, and shortlisting candidates for drivers, yard hands and other operational roles. This is a hands-on recruitment role, where you'll get to know our business inside and out, working closely with upper management to understand exactly who we need and when. This role would be based in our Acacia Ridge office with the potential of hybrid working arrangements depending on the candidate.

What You'll be Doing

• Proactively sourcing MR and HR truck drivers across the whole business

• Building and maintaining a database of potential driver candidates

• Advertising roles through online platforms, Facebook groups and industry networks

• Contacting potential candidates and conducting initial phone screens

• Working with our operations team to understand driver requirements

• Coordinating interviews and trial shifts

• Maintaining relationships with previous applicants and industry contacts

• Providing regular updates on recruitment activity and candidate pipelines

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a recruitment or talent acquisition role (agency or in-house)

• Strong communication skills - comfortable talking to candidates from a range of backgrounds

• Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple open roles at once

• Experience recruiting for drivers, yard hands, and other operational roles highly regarded

• Someone who is proactive, can work independently and understands the importance of maintaining a pipeline of potential candidates

Hours

• Part-time, days/hours flexible but ideally 3-4 hours per day from Monday to Friday

• Flexibility around starting times
