We're offering a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Watchmaker Apprentice to join our specialist workshop in Newstead.
This is more than an apprenticeship. It's the beginning of a lifelong career in one of the world's most respected and specialised trades. Working alongside experienced and qualified watchmakers, you'll develop the technical skills and craftsmanship required to service and repair luxury timepieces while studying towards a nationally recognised qualification.

The Opportunity
As a Watchmaker Apprentice, you'll receive hands-on training from experienced industry professionals while completing your formal TAFE studies.
Throughout your apprenticeship you'll learn to:
Service and repair quartz and mechanical watches.
Diagnose faults and carry out precision repairs.
Safely use specialist watchmaking tools and equipment.
Develop exceptional attention to detail and technical accuracy.
Assist with workshop administration and customer service.
Maintain high standards of quality, organisation and workplace safety.
Build the skills required to become a qualified professional watchmaker.
No previous watchmaking experience is required, we're looking for the right attitude and willingness to learn.
About You
You'll enjoy solving problems, working with your hands and taking pride in producing quality work. Ideally, you'll have:
A genuine interest in mechanical systems, precision engineering or craftsmanship.
Excellent attention to detail and patience.
Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
The ability to follow instructions carefully and learn from experienced mentors.
A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Commitment to completing the four-year apprenticeship and associated TAFE studies.
