Animal attendant (Dog Day Care)

About the role

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Animal Attendant to join our dog daycare team. This role suits someone energetic, reliable, and confident handling dogs of all sizes, with a genuine commitment to canine care and wellbeing. You'll bring enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude, along with a dedication to providing outstanding service to both our clients and their beloved pets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service with attention to detail

• Maintain centre standards, policies, and procedures

• Build strong relationships with pet parents through clear communication

• Perform daily admin tasks (emails, calls, record keeping, data entry)

• Supervise and manage groups of dogs, ensuring safety and wellbeing

• Provide daily enrichment activities

• Conduct temperament assessments

• Maintain cleanliness of the facility

• Capture photos/videos and create social media content

About you

• Experience working with groups of dogs

• Experience must specifically be in dog daycare facilities or balanced dog training with a minimum of 1 year experience

• Strong understanding of dog behaviour and handling skills

• Team player with a positive attitude

• Certificate II in Animal Care (or similar) preferred

• Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods

• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Basic social media content creation skills (Facebook & Instagram)

• Current driver's licence

• Legal right to work in Australia
