About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our established high end residential building company in the Southern Highlands, NSW. As a Carpenter, you will play a vital role in the construction and renovation of residential and commercial properties. This is a full-time position (Although ABN would be considered), offering the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the growth and success of both the business and your own personal skill set and capabilities.

Essential Criteria

1. Experience in all aspects of mid to high end residential carpentry/building

2. Driver's license, ute/trailer and appropriate tools

3. Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card).

4. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment

5. Ability to work in a team and independently on occasion

6. Effective communication and time management skills

7. Collaborating with the construction team to ensure project deadlines are met

What we're looking for

1. An enthusiastic and motivated carpenter with a genuine passion for carpentry

2. Work vehicle, tools and trailer

3. Proven experience as a carpenter, with a minimum of 2-3 years in the industry post apprenticeship

4. Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools

5. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings

6. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

7. Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills

9. Certificate III in carpentry

10. Strong desire to grow as a carpenter and progress to a leading hand and more senior supervisory roles in the future

Our team consists of 6-8 on site carpenters and apprentices supported by the Director and a junior project manager.
