About The Team
Property looks after one of Australia’s most dynamic portfolios. With an extensive footprint of over 1,800 retail outlets nationally, we’re growing every day. Our team manages every one of these locations, and we work together with our business units on all thing’s property, from site acquisition through to asset management.
About The Role
Reporting to the National Liquor Property Manager, you’ll manage a portfolio of existing locations and deliver commercial property solutions that support the future direction of our Liquor business.
Working across Liquor, Coles Property, supermarkets, Finance, lessors and other key stakeholders, you’ll navigate complex property matters and negotiate outcomes that balance commercial, operational and strategic priorities.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead negotiations across lease exits, surrender arrangements, subleasing and other property solutionsManage complex lease and property matters across the Liquor portfolioNegotiate commercially sound agreements that manage risk and deliver value for ColesIdentify practical solutions for the repurposing or transition of existing retail spaceManage multiple property activities, priorities and critical timelinesBuild trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, lessors and external partnersProvide clear reporting on progress, risks and key outcomes
About You And Your Skills
You’ll be a commercially minded property professional with strong negotiation skills and the confidence to navigate complex agreements. Pragmatic and solutions-focused, you’ll be comfortable bringing together multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
You’ll also have
Experience in retail property, leasing, property management or a related commercial property environmentStrong lease and lessor negotiation experienceThe ability to interpret and negotiate complex contracts and agreementsSound financial and commercial acumen, including an understanding of property viability and riskStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsThe ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrentlyKnowledge of building and planning considerations within a retail environmentA relevant tertiary qualification in property, business, law, commerce, architecture, building or project management, which would be highly regarded
