About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our popular Argentinean restaurant La Boca.  The restaurant is a fun fast-paced and high-energy environment, where there is never a dull moment!

This role offers the opportunity to manage a dedicated team, ensure smooth operations, and deliver a top-notch guest experience, all while highlighting the authentic flavors of our popular Argentinian restaurant, La Boca. In order to be successful in the role, you must be passionate, motivated and goal orientated.

Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Supervise and lead the food and beverage team, ensuring exceptional service standards.
• Monitor daily restaurant operations to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure proper levels are always available.
• Train, develop, and mentor team members to provide the best customer service and enhance their skills.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and ensure complete satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, cleanliness, and proper hygiene practices.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team to guarantee timely service and maintain quality food standards.
• Assist with staff scheduling, ensuring shifts are appropriately staffed and manage labour costs effectively.
• Support the management team in achieving sales and operational goals.

About You

Working within the hospitality environment you will have the ability to communicate with all levels of our diverse workforce and senior management, in addition to;

• Previous experience in a food and beverage supervisory role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
• You must hold a current QLD RSA
• Possession of a current RMLV certification - highly regarded, but not essential
• Experience with Micros POS highly desirable
• A positive and proactive attitude and strong team leader presence
• Have a flexibility for rotating roster
