About The Role…
Are you an experienced event operations leader with a proven track record delivering large-scale, complex events?
The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is seeking a strategic and highly organised Head of Event Delivery to lead the integrated planning, coordination and operational execution of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
This role is central to the success of the Show, acting as the key coordination point across the organisation to ensure alignment of timelines, stakeholders, logistics and delivery outcomes across the full event lifecycle, from planning and design through to build, live operations and bump-out.
You will work closely with internal departments, contractors, government agencies and service partners to deliver a seamless, safe and high-quality experience for visitors, exhibitors and stakeholders, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the event.
Beyond delivery, you will contribute to future event development, precinct planning and long-term strategic initiatives to support the continued evolution of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
About You…
You are an experienced event operations leader with a strong track record delivering large-scale, complex events in a fast-paced and high-stakes environment. You are highly organised, solutions-focused and thrive on coordinating multiple moving parts to deliver exceptional outcomes.
You bring a collaborative leadership style and are confident working across diverse stakeholder groups, from internal teams through to contractors, service providers and external partners. Your ability to influence, align and drive accountability will be key to success in this role.
To Be Successful, You Will Demonstrate
Proven experience (7+ years) in major event delivery, operations or a related field, managing complex, multi-stakeholder events Strong operational planning capability, with the ability to manage timelines, dependencies and competing priorities across the full event lifecycle Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating internal and external stakeholders Highly developed communication, negotiation and relationship management skills Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service providers in a large-scale event environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure Experience developing operational procedures, systems and continuous improvement initiatives Sound understanding of workplace health and safety principles in an event or operational context
Desirable
Experience delivering large public events, exhibitions, festivals or major sporting events Knowledge of event infrastructure, venue operations and site logistics Exposure to volunteer programs and customer experience operations

The RAS is a not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting agricultural development and rural communities in Australia.
The RAS manages the Sydney Royal Easter Show, Sydney Royal competitions, the RAS Foundation, Australasian Animal Registry and Sydney Showground, which hosts a huge range of events and professional sporting codes including AFL and Cricket.
