About the role
Build doors properly. Learn the lot.
We're Doors Replaced — we supply and install custom doors across Melbourne, and every door is manufactured by our own workshop, Bespoke Doors, in Moorabbin. Solid timber entrance doors, architectural doors and composite entry units, built here, not imported.
We're growing and we need another set of hands in the workshop and on site. We don't care if you've got 10 years on the tools or you're two years into your apprenticeship — we care that you want to build things properly and you're willing to learn how we do it.
What you'll be doing
Building custom solid timber and composite doors in the workshop — machining, laminating, assembly, hanging and hardware fit-out
Learning to use the full range of workshop machinery and hand tools
Working from shop drawings and specs — the detail matters here, and you'll learn why
Going out on installations — fitting finished doors into real openings, making them work first time
Being part of the whole job from raw timber to a hung, finished door in a customer's home
Who we're after
A qualified carpenter or joiner, OR an apprentice partway through who wants to specialise
Someone who listens, asks questions and actually wants to get better
Good hands and a good eye — the work goes into people's front entrances, so near enough isn't good enough
Happy in a small team where everyone matters and there's nowhere to hide
Driver's licence and reliable transport
A genuine interest in solid timber work — if you get a kick out of good joinery, you'll fit right in
What you get
Real variety — workshop manufacturing AND site installation, not one or the other
Training on machinery and techniques most carpenters never touch
A small team where you're a person, not a number
Pay based on experience — tell us where you're at and we'll talk straight
How to apply
Send a short note about where you're at and what you've built. Photos of your work count for more than a fancy resume.
