Group Travel Consultant

About The Role

Groups by Beyond is looking for an experienced Group Travel Consultant to manage the end-to-end delivery of group tours for travel agents and direct clients around the world. This is a client and operations-focused role for someone who loves the details of putting a great group tour together - from first enquiry and quote, through supplier negotiation, to smooth departure.

You'll be the main point of contact for your clients, ensuring every group trip is well-planned, competitively priced, and delivered without a hitch. You'll report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in the smooth-running of Groups by Beyond's group travel program.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end quote and booking process for group tours

• Respond to and manage enquiries

• Put together accurate, well-priced itineraries and proposals

• Track, follow up, and manage all leads and enquiries through to confirmed booking

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in the CRM

• Communicate with clients primarily via phone and email to secure and manage bookings

• Deliver a high standard of service that drives repeat business and referrals

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients

• Negotiate group rates, inventory, specials, and exclusives with suppliers

• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners

About You

• Experience creating and managing group tours, ideally in the Australian/NZ travel industry

• Strong communication skills and sharp attention to detail

• A track record in account management and client relationship management

• Confident negotiation skills with suppliers

• Self-motivated, and engaged with a genuine passion for travel and customer service

• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and CRM tools; experience with TourPlan a bonus

• Destination knowledge in Eastern Europe and/or Scandinavia highly regarded
