AWE is currently seeking experienced Underground Field Service & Rostered Maintenance Fitters to support multiple hard rock mining operations across Australia. These opportunities involve working with Tier 1 and Tier 2 mining clients to deliver high-quality maintenance and breakdown support.
Key Responsibilities: - Breakdown Fitter roles & workshop roles available
- Not all roles require you to work UG; mix of surface & underground workshops
- Conducting rebuilds and component change-outs.
- Planned shutdown maintenance on UG machinery
- Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on Sandvik, Caterpillar, Epiroc, and Normet machinery.

- Casual or Full-Time contracts available.
- Rates up to $100 per hour casual, pending experience.

To be considered, you must hold the following: - Valid Australian Working Rights.
- Underground Mining Experience.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience with mining & heavy equipment.
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant).
- Ability to pass full pre-employment medical & drug/alcohol screening.
