About the role
Allora College is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager who will be responsible for engaging and developing key relationships with students and industry stakeholders for our Childcare qualifications.
The successful candidate will lead the expansion of our domestic student recruitment and further develop business opportunities with industry and network partners in the qualification areas.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate experience in operating comfortably in a complex and diverse environment with state funded training programs, and an ability to successfully work with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Previous experience in business development within the childcare education sector is essential as is knowledge of domestic education marketing, specifically within the Vocational Education & Training (VET) sector and state funded training programs such as Skills Assure Skills Assure | Department of Trade, Employment and Training.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Recruitment of eligible students from the domestic market into targeted, subsidised courses with a particular focus on channel marketing, business development and client management.
Ongoing planning, implementation and evaluation of the college's marketing and student recruitment activities for childcare qualifications
Manage and respond to stakeholder inquiries and provide solutions for market challenges as they arise.
Represent and promote the RTO at a variety of events such as marketing seminars, including meeting with prospective students and industry partners
Developing, evaluating and analysing marketing plans for return on investment and effectiveness in contributing to the RTO's domestic marketing strategy.
Contribute to the development of new processes and procedures relating to marketing and student recruitment and proactively assist in the development of quality management processes.
Contribute to, and achieve, established KPI's including student recruitment numbers and the management of industry networks.
Selection Criteria:
1 Demonstrated experience in domestic student recruitment and marketing, specifically in the vocational education sector and subsided/funded training programs
2 Understanding of the nuances of communicating with stakeholders from different backgrounds and meeting diverse needs
3 Proven knowledge and experience with Skills Assure funded programs. Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills (negotiation, sales, marketing, presentation, client enquiry management and dispute resolution)
4 Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and to work productively with strong organisational and time management skills.
5 Existing and established industry connections/networks with childcare providers highly regarded.
